Crawling Zombies

So I keep having these zombie dreams. I don't know what's wrong with me (not that I'm complaining-I love zombies), but it's pretty interesting when I wake up in the morning and realize my mind somehow managed to incorporate my favorite monsters into my dreams, or shall I say nightmares?

This was a strange dream too. I woke up in the morning for school. I must've been 13 or 14 years old. I was in the kitchen, looking for something to eat, and I ended up hitting my leg pretty bad on the counter. My skin tore, but no blood came from the wound. I then peeked into the main bathroom and saw the bedroom door closed, which made me realize my step dad was still home. He had yet to go to work, and I wasn't really sure why. After that, I was in the kitchen again, looking at these notes my mom left my step dad for his lunch for work (even though he was still home). I ended up dropping a glass on the floor, it shattered, and I fell on top and cut my leg a second time. This time, my skin tore completely off, leaving a gaping hole that exposed bone, yet I did not bleed. My mom was awake at that point and poured vodka on it to clean it. I was trying my best to avoid her because she was an alcoholic in real life, though she seemed sober in my dream, and I just didn't want to be around her, but she insisted on cleaning the wound, and then she left for work.

The next thing I knew, my neighbor and good friend was walking over with her school books in hand. She was wearing a green polo shirt like the shirts I have to wear for my job in real life, which I thought was odd, but she was always into that drab, boring kind of clothing. She came to the door, but right before I opened it, I looked back into the house and saw a very skinny, skeleton zombie crawling across the floor. I had no idea how the zombie got in the house, and I briefly wondered about it, but I didn't really care. It was coming right for me, yet I wasn't scared of it. I looked back once more, noticing the little fuzz on its head, the green tint to its skin, and how skinny it seemed, like it had been a zombie way too long. Even after taking in the horrible sight, I still wasn't bothered by it, so I opened the door and talked to my friend for a minute, telling her that I wasn't going to school. I don't think I gave her a reason as to why, but before my mom left for work, she left a note on the counter for my step dad saying something along the lines of, "our super girl is feeling much better today, but she's staying home from school." (I really don't know what that was about.) My friend left. I watched her walked around the horse pasture, back down her driveway, and stop by the road to wait for the bus.

I'd almost forgotten about the zombie crawling across my kitchen floor and down the hallway, and when I turned around, the thing was right behind me, trying to get out of the door. I opened the door wide and watched it crawl by, and when it was half way out, I started to nudge it in the side and legs to get it outside. It didn't try to bite me or eat me, but I did have a moment of panic when I kicked its foot out and its toenail scraped against my skin. I thought for sure I was going to turn zombie, but I didn't, and I watched the zombie crawl away. After that, I realized I had to go outside and take care of my mare in the barn. I stepped onto the deck and looked to the barn, but I couldn't leave. The barn was fine, but the field behind the barn had five or six crawling zombies, and they were all trying to get into my boyfriend's house next door. On the opposite side of the barn, I saw at least two more zombies, and I figured my mare could wait to be fed a later time. I surely wasn't going to go outside and open the barn door so she could get eaten up by zombies or me bitten by one.

That was pretty much where the dream ended, and as soon as I opened my eyes this morning, I thought to myself, "How could you neglect your mare and her morning meal like that?" Zombies were crawling in and out of my house, and all I cared about was my horse. Typical me. :)

And as for the aspect of hitting my leg and not bleeding, I figured it had something to do with everyone eventually turning zombie. Maybe after time, after constantly stubbing toes on furniture, bumping hips on counter corners, smashing fingers in doors, the human body would just wear out and die rather than heal itself, and in death, that body would turn zombie and "live" again.

Another Zombie Dream.

I have been waiting and waiting for another zombie dream to hit. I don't know if it's because I am obsessed with zombies (I have seen Dawn of the Dead more times than I can count on both hands and feet), but whatever the case... zombie dreams are the most common dreams I have. This one last night was quite weird. First my friend and I were outside, trying to get to where we were headed. We didn't really see any zombies, and we stopped at this old gas station/food joint, hoping to get some coffee. Even that place was a bit strange because it was really outdated. The candy machines would spit quarters back at you, and you had to leave them at the top of the machine so others could use them to get the candy. My friend kept trying to steal the quarters because we were scraping for cash as it was, and the people eating food around us kept looking at us weird, like we were outsiders, and they didn't like outsiders. It was like some old horror film where the town is in on some big plot to kill any newcomers. I'd wanted to get some coffee, but the place didn't have the kind of machine I was looking for, so we ended up leaving, walking since we didn't have money for a car or cab. We walked along the road for a while, then ended up going into a field. Somewhere along the way I pulled out a disposable camera and started snapping photos of the sky because it was really beautiful. Pinks. Oranges. And half of the sky was normal. The clouds were all shaped weird and even seemed to move more than normal clouds do. It was the best sunset I have a seen in a long time (that includes in person). After that, my friend and I somehow ended up at a farm with people we knew. We'd seen zombies along the way, mostly walking in fields with their arms outstretched. Most of these zombies were fresh too, chasing us like humans rather than slow walking with death moans. We didn't make sure the house was boarded up or barricaded in any manner. I don't know why that was. We all ended up sleeping in the living room, with the blinds still open, and I didn't like that idea at all. I looked outside and saw a little boy zombie with a blue raincoat on. He was trying to get up on some ledge to another house, which was weird, but it frightened me, so I convinced my friend to stay in this really tiny room with me. It was like a closet but had two windows, and we did have the shades closed for some time, but then I saw a zombie shadow pass by. I woke my friend up to tell her zombies were by the house, and she wasn't thinking straight because she pulled the shade wide open and looked outside. I told her to close it, but she didn't listen, and then suddenly there were three children zombies trying to get in. They looked as normal as could be, smiling and grinning as if nothing was the matter, but somehow I knew they were zombies. I don't know when my friend opened the window, but it was open, and one of the girl zombies managed to pull it up. They got in, we rushed back into the living room, and everyone scattered. The next part was weird. My friend and I headed for the basement because we ended up being chased by none other than the boys from shameless, Ian and Lip. I didn't see Ian, but I knew it was him. I did see Lip, and his eyes were blood red. I have no idea why they would be zombies, but Ian took off after her and lip took off after me. I went to the dirtiest part of the basement with him on my heels. We ran around the basement, I headed up a staircase and went down another. He grabbed a weird weapon and started chasing me with it. I couldn't take it anymore, so I finally dropped to the floor and attempted to cover myself with an old blue tarp. He saw me cover myself, and I thought for sure I was going to get eaten by a zombie, but instead he started talking and groping my pockets. He pulled out these weird cards that had pictures and names and weird school things, and he started spreading them on the floor. I was still shaking, still thinking any moment he was going to eat me, but then it ended, and I woke up thinking "What kind of zombie dream was that?"

Crystal Eminems

So I don't really remember much of this dream, but what I do remember baffles me.

I was at work, and my boss was going through the candy section. Usually the candy isn't open, but all of the sudden she whips out a handful of green and red eminems and gives them to me. When I took them, I picked out a red one and saw crystals on it. They were red crystals, if that's even possible, but it was just really weird. Like who would have a dream about eminems having crystals on them? LMFAO

BIG LOVE in the little mind

This dream has nothing to do with zombies, surprisingly, and it was very short.

I was walking around my old house, and then all of the sudden my ex (from a very long time ago) and I decided to hook the horses up to wagons and go for a ride. I had my team, he had his. The next thing I knew, I'm coming out of the house telling him I really want him because I know he's going to leave me (he did; that rat bastard). And when he's standing there, my best friend appears beside him.

1: He didn't know this girl.
2: She would never be into a guy like him.

At first, I say nothing because I think OKAY we'll just drive the horses around a bit, and then I'll find out why my best friend would rather be beside him than me. We drove around the house a few times. I even turned my horses around backwards so that we'd run into each other because I wanted to spy on them so bad. He did almost run me over too. I barely peeked around the corner of the house and BAM he zoomed by. He didn't even look at me either. I thought for sure he was going to say I was always doing dumb things like trying to get myself run over, but he was too busy being with her.

After a while, we met back up on the porch, and do you know what he told me? That freaking bastard told me my best friend wanted him and that I should share. I was too stumped to say anything at first like: Why would my best friend do this to me? Why would he do this to me? Does he seriously think I'm going to share him with her? The list went on. So, I thought about it for a while, and I even asked him, "How am I going to share you with her." And he said, "It shouldn't be a problem."

I kept wanting to sock her in the face because she was practically hanging all over him, and then we were all three running around the house like horses. I ran into them face on again, and I asked, "I thought you loved me." And he fucking replied with, "I do love you, but I love her too." It's like how in the hell does a man go from loving one woman to supposedly loving two? Man this dream irked me. Silly really.

Then I started thinking about the women from the show BIG LOVE, and it sounded good to me. Like oh hey best friend (in the house right next to me) why don't you come over and we'll bake cookies? I got even angrier when I started to think the idea could be cool. Haha

Zombie Love Story

So here's another quick Zombie tale from my nightmares.

Think about being somewhere with your boyfriend (or girlfriend) and all of the sudden you hear someone scream, "Terrorists!" And whoever is shouting this, keeps shouting it over and over until you're seriously under the belief that terrorists have dropped out of the sky and are coming for you.

So, we're somewhere in public. I can't remember where. We're walking, holding hands, and then we start running because everyone thinks terrorists are coming for us. I keep looking behind me, trying to see them, but all I see are these people with bloody faces and red eyes, and I keep thinking OK those are not terrorists, they're Zombies. But everyone else is still saying they're terrorists.

We jump through a hole in the floor, and when I say jump through, I mean jump up. I get up, and then I think I pull him up, and these monsters are like snagging at the bottom of his pants, trying to pull him out of my grasp. So, I get him up and we're about to jump into this closet. I mean, I actually do jump in it, and everyone else seems to be running by us. But he won't come in with me. He keeps tugging on my arm, pulling me back, and the next thing I know, a rope is around his neck and he gives me one final look before hanging himself down the hole. And all Im thinking is WTF why'd he just do that? I even look down the hole, considering pulling him up, but the Zombies were everywhere!

I get back into the closet. The Zombies start pounding on the door, then it disappears, and I turn around to find a girl in the closet with me. She takes me out a back door, and I can't remember the rest after that, but this dream always got to me because a month after I kept seeing my boyfriend hang himself. I even told him about it, and he said, "Well, I must've been bit, and I was trying to keep you safe." Sweetest thing ever!

Red-Eyed Zombie

So, I always have these dreams about being back in high school. Granted, it wasn't that long ago for me, but still. I think it's because many horror films and comedies these days are based on high school students. I'm already starting to forget some of the major details, but I do remember the dream being about a zombie attack. I've had a thing for zombies since I saw my first zombie movie a long time ago --- I can't remember what the film is called; I've seen too many. And believe me when I say, this was not my first zombie dream either. I think The Walking Dead brought the dreams out in me even more because I bought it on DVD for 15 bucks, and I watched it two times in a row --- because it was so damn good!

We're in the gymnasium, and I start to see some of the other kid's eyes turning foggy. Then before I knew what hit me, we were running away. First it was like I was in the rafters, looking down upon them. Then we were trying to quarantine the bully of the school because we knew he'd been bit, but no one wanted to because they were afraid of him. He was wearing a red sweatshirt, and very easy to spot.

I remember looking out the windows, trying to see something, but there wasn't much to see. I remember the trees and country land and buildings, but it seemed the Zombies were still inside our school, even if the infected had had to come in from the outside. Finally, I went upstairs into some kind of apartment, which was also attached to a girl's locker room. The stalls were weird, and when I went in to pee, the girl next to me was standing up peeing like guys do. (I never said this was a normal dream) The worst part of it was, I could see her face to face, and we were talking to each other while we peed.

I started to figure things out inside this apartment, and I even wondered how I could barricade the weird door, but then my friends started showing up, running in one after one. Soon, no more of them came, but they were frantic with fear, and some of them were rubbing wounds on their arms. I asked them who was bit, and then I asked if a particular girl had been bit because I swore I kept seeing her eyes flash from normal to cloudy. She said she had been bit, and then another girl said the bully had drank her nose blood, which I took for she made contact with him and got herself bit too. So, I started thinking OH GOD, at least half of my group up here are infected, and I don't know how to quarantine them.

I started to fret, tearing blankets off a bed since it seemed the only logical way. I pulled a pink Minnie mouse blanket off, tearing the corner, and I brought it to the door thinking maybe I could nail it over the door instead of a piece of wood. So, I found some sewing pins, not nails, but I wasn't strong enough to stick them in the corners. Then, out of the corner of my eye, I saw a cute boy running down the stairs above the room, with a back pack on his shoulders. I knew I needed his help, so I snuck behind some railing and made the psst sound, just in case he was a zombie too. He ran over at once, and helped me push the pins into the wall.

That was about where the dream ended, the last part leaving me the most bewildered since when I looked into the boy's eyes, I saw a flash of red instead of a flash of clouds. I almost wanted to follow him.
